Sexual Harassment and Discrimination in the Workplace In recent months, we have seen many high-profile examples and media attention on the topic of sexual harassment. Anything from news about workplace harassment, to Hollywood allegations, to the “#MeToo” movement on social media. As leaders in the workplace, it is our responsibility to protect our employees from such potential misconduct within our businesses and we are required by law to create a safe environment for every employee. Taking a proactive approach is your best defense in the event of a sexual harassment, and all other harassment claims. Course Description: Information presented will enable employees and employers to recognize and avoid sexual harassment situations in the workplace. They will learn their responsibilities as an accused or complainant person, the procedures to follow if sexual harassment or discrimination occurs, and what actions to expect from the employer. At the end of this course you will be able to: • Define what constitutes sexual harassment, harassment and discrimination. • Identify inappropriate conduct in the workplace. • Identify abusive conduct and workplace bullying. • Review discrimination and harassment laws. • Define protected class and the EEOC. • Explain how to report circumstances of sexual harassment or a hostile work environment. • Describe their responsibilities as an accused or complainant person. • How to communicate with the employees. Who Should Attend: Any level manager or employee that want to update their knowledge of the laws that impact them and their companies.
